Fit, warm and strong through the Winter season

Updated: Sep 9, 2020

Now that Winter has already provided us some rather coolish nights, you might have found yourself struggling with cold hands and feet- or someone else’s! ;-) In this context, did you know that muscles are more important than fat in heat loss regulation? A study by Payne, Macintosh, & Stock (2018) suggests that muscular individuals are less susceptible to heat loss and cold injury. Just one of many reasons to come back to the gym and put in an extra effort in your training!
